The e-mail that went out over the listserv this afternoon about this is pasted below for your reference:

Hey all!
After this morning’s exchange on the listserv about getting sets of FC5 CDs, VTLUUG has decided to start a fundraiser.
This is part of a new model we are trying to enact. In the past, all VTLUUG expenses have been paid for out of pocket by our core members - we are now trying to establish ourselves financially to prevent this sort of thing. Information about the fundraiser follows:
We will be burning, testing, and distributing FC5 CD sets (5 CDs) for a suggested donation of $4 a set ($1 for the CDs, $3 profit).
If you are interested in taking advantage of this, send an e-mail to vtluugpresident@gmail.com with the number of sets you would like. You will recieve an e-mail about dropping off the CDs once your sets are done, which should be in no more than a day or so. Please make the subject of your e-mail “FC5 CD Order”.
If you would rather forego this process, and download them for free, you can use VT’s mirrors, located here:
ftp://mirror.cc.vt.edu/pub/fedora/linux/core/5
There are other mirrors also listed on Fedora’s website, here:
http://fedora.redhat.com/Download/
If for any reason the CD set you recieve does not work, you may exchange your CDs for a new set, free of charge (note, this does not include errors that concern hardware compatibality - CD burn errors only, please).
If you have any questions, shoot them to vtluugpresident@gmail.com!
Ben
President, VTLUUG

Update:
———-
Hey all!
To answer a few questions about ordering the FC5 CD Sets:
1) Yes! We will be providing DVD versions of FC5. Make sure to specify whether you want CDs or DVDs in your order.
2) We set the suggested donation per set to $4 as that is the minimum that we felt would make the effort worthwhile (plus, we students are mildly poor, heh). You are of course free to donate more if you wish - and anything extra would be greatly appreciated.
3) To make sure we don’t lose track of orders - please make sure the orders go to vtluugpresident@gmail.com (this doesn’t apply to Jon or Russell - we all ready have your orders
).
Let us know if you have any more questions!
